A simple way to stick to your health goals is to health proof your home. All that you need to achieve your fitness and nutrition goals can literally be found in your kitchen & living room. Here are some ways to health-proof your home:
Rid your fridge and pantry of any “junk food.” It’s hard to be downing chips every night when you don’t have them around. I am not saying you can’t have cheat meals or treats but I don’t recommend stocking up on a month’s supply of candy.
Clean your fridge once a week.
Go grocery shopping on a designated day. I usually go on Sundays and then on Thursday to pick up any extra veggies. Make sure your fridge and pantry is always stocked with healthy foods.
Stock up on some basic gym essentials and store them in your bedroom on in a small area in the living room. Some good of my favorite home workout pieces that don’t take up much space are: jump ropes, resistance bands, a pair or two of dumbbells, kettlebells & medicine balls.
Stock your cabinets with some mason jars, ziplock bags and glassware to store prepped food for the work week.
Invest in some good kitchen utensils such as a instapot, air fryer, cast-iron skillet, and good kitchen knives. Some of my favorite brands are:
Set-up a little indoor garden. For tips on how to do this check out these tips HERE.
